On Behalf Of Downtown411

Give or take a dollar or two, John's eyes started crossing towards
the end!!! YES, this is the grand total from the
Garage Sale for the
Medina family!!! Let me start by saying that I am not normally very
good at expressing sappy emotion when it comes to writing so I
apologize in advance for not properly conveying my feelings when I
say… THANK YOU to EVERYONE who helped this weekend and the days
leading up to it. I worship all of you and you all KICK ASS!!! (for
those of you passing this message on to their children who helped,
feel free to edit as necessary) Also, please excuse my misspelling of
names as it is the first time I have met some of you, and face it,
I'm just not that bright sometimes… I am sure I forgot some very
important people in this email and I am sorry, but I will always
remember you in my heart.

This was a long weekend for everyone, but I never heard one complaint
from a single person who was here, not even the little ones who were
busting their humps for hours getting things ready. A special thanks
to Alexandria (PS your mom rules) and Mia (so does yours) for doing
an amazing job and Genevieve who was a spectacular bicycle model for
me! BIG THANKS to Tami for her recycling donations that added $500.00
to this total, keep up the good work. Also, special thanks to
Carolyn, who not only wins the "Cutest Baked Goods" awards, but who
does an incredible job as the pizza fairy too. We all would have
puttered out without nourishment so next time I see you (which I hope
is soon) don't be embarrassed when I drop down and start bowing at
your feet. Your kids were also terrific. Thanks to Joe and Kelly
Gangemi who are awesome on multiple levels; Kelly for continuing to
work tirelessly while toting around a toddler and being 5 month
pregnant with TWINS (we hope this doesn't put you into early labor),
and Joe who's muscles and burritos we could not have lived without.
Steve and Claire for helping with set up and closing. Yvonne and
Caitlin for sticking around and being exceptional sales and
merchandizing professionals (sorry about the theft, those "bleep"
holes will get what is coming to them). Grace, who didn't plan on
staying when she arrived Saturday morning, but saw a need and filled
it! Missy and Cherie for organizing the clothing and merchandising
the outdoor living sections. You ladies rock! Ed Parsons for taking
direction so well and not once losing his patience with me for giving
it. Yurgen, for filling in when needed. Natalie and Dean for turning
a demolished clothing section into a retail piece of art. Not to
mention the snow cone machines!!! I am still disappointed that we did
not partake in some adult snow cones, but I will keep the lemoncello
and amaretto on ice for just such an occasion. Che Hammond, who
showed up everyday with a smile on his face and willingness to help
wherever needed. Pete, whose demonstration on the Gazelle closed the
sale almost immediately, too bad I didn't do so well with the Ab
Master!!! Jim and Coby for all of their help and comic relief, both
were much needed. My neighbor Lisa, for providing dinner AND dessert
to hungry troops. Nice double strawberry cheesecake, it is official,
I am moving in with you and Mark. Tell Buddy he better make room in
his doggie bed for me and Bart! Oh, and Bart for foregoing his walks
and visits to the park all weekend while we were working the sale. He
is sleeping at my feet now and I am quite close to joining him
(yawn). Thanks to Rod for his Web Master duties. The site looks
great!
But most of all thanks to John for being the cashier all weekend. He
only pissed off three customers and without his "Haggle and you will
be removed from the premises" attitude; the amount listed in the
header of this email would have been significantly smaller.

I feel very lucky to have met new friends over the last few days and
am extremely grateful for all of the help that was given. Grand total
of cries for joy…. 8K and counting. Much love to you all and keep
fighting the good fight!
                                                                 Thank you,   Adrienne
Another truck load? Oh S_ IT!
